Manchester United were dealt a major blow in their Premier League clash against Everton.
Matheus Cunha was expected to feature in Monday night’s match at Old Trafford, but the Brazilian summer signing is not included in the matchday squad at all.

The reason for Cunha’s absence is due to a slight knock sustained during a training session at Carrington on Saturday.
“It was a big blow in training,” Ruben Amorim told Sky Sports. “I don’t know how long he will be out. I think it’s nothing serious but we can’t risk the players.

“We need to show everyone that when you’re not 100 percent, you have a different player to cope with the demands of the game.”
Amorim, who is also without Benjamin Sesko, selected Joshua Zirkzee to lead Man United’s line against Everton – giving the Dutchman his first start of the season.
“I just want to see Josh play well, with the quality he has,” Amorim added.
“We have a problem with Ben [Sesko] and we have a problem with Cunha. He works in this position.

“If you look at our team, I think Josh has more or less the same characteristics as Cunha in this position. We want to keep what we worked with during the week and he is ready.”
Kobbie Mainoo and notably Lisandro Martinez also return to the Man Utd team on Monday evening for the first time since February.
